Owners: Stanley and Nancy Singer
On Stanley: Chef Stanley Singer trained at La Varenne in Paris, and also cooked at Maximes. He moved to the Hamptons from NYC and opened Turtle Crossing to satisfy the need for a quality southwestern restaurant.
On Nancy: Nancy, who runs the office and the front of the house, was an executive recruiter in NYC for 15 years, where she placed investment bankers on Wall Street. Her volunteer and charitable work includes Big Sisters; the Starlight Foundation; Taste Of the Nation in the Hamptons (former Chairperson); The Retreat (board member); the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce; and the Guild Hall new business membership committee.
Chef: Arthur Wolf graduated with his culinary degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 1983. Upon graduation he spent six months as sous chef in St. Croix at The Top Hat. He then returned to the US and took a position as sous chef at The Dune Deck Hotel in Westhampton, NY. Following this, he moved on to Nicky’s in Centerport, NY. He then relocated to Manchester, VT where he spent six years at Laney’s. Upon returning to New York, Mr. Wolf settled on the East End of Long Island as executive chef of Turtle Crossing.
